Now that you’ve finished your play, what comes next? This one-time, two-hour class will be devoted to demystifying the sometimes-confusing world of new play development. We’ll spend the first hour talking about play revision and development, and the second hour will cover submission opportunities and strategies for getting your work onstage. Whether you’re interested in community theatre, plays for young audiences, or theatre on a regional/national scale, this class will give you the tools to navigate the American theatre with confidence.

This class is suitable for intermediate writers.

Katie Kirk is a playwright and screenwriter with an MFA from Carnegie Mellon University whose work has been published by Concord Theatricals and recognized by Theater Masters and the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, among others.
