In this class, participants engage with the world around them to develop writing in all genres. This is an exercise-focused class which encourages participants to build poems out of receipts, to write dialogue by eavesdropping, and to create characters based on objects found around the house.
Author Talks, Poetry Readings, Open Mics, Book Discussions, Family Fun & Learning Nights, and Gallery Exhibitions are all part of our vibrant arts calendar.
Free classes for members, Monthly Open Mics, and Black&Lit bookclub.
The Carnegie Center for Literacy and Learning’s mission is to empower people to explore and express their voices through imaginative learning and the literary arts.
