This course is designed to help storytellers unlock the power of their inspiration by applying principles of story craft to an idea and transforming it into a workable draft. Whether it’s a character trait, plot thread, an event from your own life, or other story fragment, the seeds of these elements have the potential to yield a complete story. Please come prepared with either an idea you would like to develop or a project you have already started and wish to expand upon during this class, where we will integrate story craft instruction and generative writing prompts. The use of universal storytelling principles makes this course applicable to all formats and genres.

Brook West is an author, screenwriter, and training developer whose passion is helping creatives tell stories that stick to your bones.
