Do you struggle with submitting your writing to journals, or want to simply share work with your friends or community outside of the traditional submission channels? Sean Corbin of the Milestone Art Collective presents different ways for you to take the DIY approach to your art and its presentation, so that you can decide the best way to express yourself. These approaches include personal websites, blogs, social media, chapbooks and zines, flyers and broadsides, video and audio presentations, community performances, and general conversations on self-publishing.

Sean Corbin is the Poetry Gauntlet coordinator for the Carnegie Center and has taught with Carnegie for at least seven years. He is one-half of the Milestone Art Collective with his wife, Amanda Kelley Corbin.

This class is suitable for beginner and intermediate levels.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

The Carnegie Center reserves the right to cancel a class if minimum enrollment is not met. It is best to register early to help our instructors prepare and to ensure the class does not get cancelled. We evaluate registration numbers 62 business days before a class starts to decide whether we can hold the class. Classes that do not meet minimum enrollment will be cancelled six–two business days prior to the first class meeting. All participants will be notified by email and will receive full refunds.
