Using Julia Cameron’s life-changing book The Artist’s Way, the facilitator and students will support each other to write daily morning pages, go on regular artist dates, and complete weekly creative activities to help them discover, renew, or recover their creativity.
Weekly 1.5 hour gatherings will support the activities completed outside of class as the group works through the first half of The Artist’s Way by providing guidance and a compassionate and supportive space to discuss the process of creative recovery. Students will need a copy of the book and a notebook for writing their morning pages.

Amanda Corbin holds creative writing degrees from Morehead State and UK, has received Artist Enrichment Grants from the Kentucky Foundation for Women, and she used The Artist’s Way to complete the first draft of her first novel.

This class is suitable for all levels.
