Join us each session for generative in-class exercises, and share your work in a supportive environment. We will discuss writing concepts in an open format to build a strong foundation for a long-form project. Perfect for beginners and open to all genres. This class is for emerging writers (ages 35 and under) and serves to provide a welcoming space.

Mya Sophia is a poet and writer who loves creating creative spaces. She had the pleasure of co-leading a season of the BIPOC group Writing What Is at Carnegie and has held other writing groups in her community. Z Valentine is the Program Director at the Carnegie Center. They started this workshop in 2020.

This class is suitable for all levels.
