Through close reading and discussion of fiction excerpts alongside in-class writing exercises and feedback on questions that arise in your own work, this class will help you build your reading and writing practice while nurturing your creativity and growth as a writer. PDFs of readings will be provided—just bring something to write with!

Amanda Corbin is a local writer with a background in journalism who holds creative writing degrees from Morehead State and the University of Kentucky. She co-edited the summer 2017 issue of New Limestone Review and served on the editorial team of Inscape where she was co-editor in 2013.

This class is suitable for all levels.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

The Carnegie Center reserves the right to cancel a class if minimum enrollment is not met. It is best to register early to help our instructors prepare and to ensure the class does not get cancelled. Classes that do not meet minimum enrollment will be cancelled six–two business days prior to the first class meeting. All participants will be notified by email and will receive full refunds.
