French 1 is a beginner’s course focusing on building a solid foundation in how the French language works, including pronunciation, sentence structure, and cultural insights to help students to start speaking French from the first lesson. This course is designed from a psycholinguistic and interactive approach to help students tailor the French language to their own personal learning goals. Students will be able to communicate at the A1 level by the end of the course in accordance with the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference) for languages.

Jazz Cole has been speaking the French language for nearly two decades as a second language and is a multilingual having learned ten languages in her lifetime. Jazz studied abroad in Paris during her final year of her undergrad, where she was the only student in her program who could speak French proficiently, allowing her to have a different experience than her peers. This experience led her to establish Multilingual & Philanthropic Inc., which is a nonprofit for improving international and foreign language education. She has been a private tutor for French, German, and Spanish since 2020, while independently researching psycholinguistics (the psychology of language acquisition) to assist her students in overcoming common problems preventing language proficiency. Her mission involves helping more people develop connections outside of just their native language.
