Join Sylvia Lovely for a three-part seminar series on how to write the stories of your life. From cave wall hieroglyphics to great literary works, we are hard-wired to describe and understand our lives and the times in which we live through stories. Perhaps your story is about a difficult time in your life with lessons learned, a moment of triumph, how you are processing your role in our country’s ongoing struggle for social justice, or even a small act that holds significant meaning to you. For a beginning writer, this class will offer basic instructions on how to start, how to find inspiration, and how to understand the power of stories to bring clarity to life’s moments and our choices. Come prepared to share your writing with others, to hear the stories of your classmates, and to experience a supportive writing community.
Sylvia Lovely is a storyteller and collector. She often introduces herself as a lawyer by training, a CEO by experience and a media mogul in her dreams. She has a rich history in media as the author of three books, numerous articles and opinion pieces for a variety of publications.
This class is suitable for all levels.
