This workshop explores ways to clarify/strengthen the voice of a poem—that unique presence that speaks a poem. We will work to claim and speak our memories and give ourselves permission to speak in our own voices. This workshop can help us explore how we can use voice to change our perspectives, try out other voices, and discover empathy. At the end of the class, you will have three to four drafts for new poems.

Marianne Worthington is an educator, editor, and poet, and the author of two poetry collections. She lives in southeastern Kentucky.

This class is suitable for all levels.

**Please note, this class has moved from September 15 to September 22.**
