Writers of all levels are welcome to join this generative poetry workshop where we dive into the work of badass women poets and write inspired by their words. We’ll explore poems by Victoria Chang, Denise Duhamel, Diamond Forde, Beth Gylys, Dorianne Laux, Maureen Seaton, & Patricia Smith. We’ll spend the majority of the session writing, with space for optional sharing at the end. You’ll leave this workshop with at least five new drafts!

Dustin Brookshire is the author of five chapbooks and the forthcoming debut full-length poetry collection, For All of Us Faggots. He edited the Lambda Literary Award finalist anthology When I Was Straight: A Tribute to Maureen Seaton (Harbor Editions, 2024) and co-edited Let Me Say This: A Dolly Parton Poetry Anthology (Madville Publishing, 2023).
