Learn to build the blueprint for a long-running series by writing an original pilot. This course is designed for aspiring writers who want to develop a new TV drama concept from idea to final script. We will cover the essential steps of series creation, from pitching a compelling concept to crafting a full pilot episode.

Katie I Williams has an MFA in Screenwriting from Spalding University. Her feature film, THE CHRISTMAS WRITER, was out in November 2025. She has been in education for 25 years as a theatre director, teacher, and school principal.
CANCELLATION POLICY:
The Carnegie Center reserves the right to cancel a class if minimum enrollment is not met. It is best to register early to help our instructors prepare and to ensure the class does not get cancelled. We evaluate registration numbers 6–2 business days before a class starts to decide whether we can hold the class. Classes that do not meet minimum enrollment will be cancelled six–two business days prior to the first class meeting. All participants will be notified by email and will receive full refunds.
