This class looks at the various and artful ways one can keep a diary. Each session also includes many writing prompts designed to sharpen observation skills, take a deep dive into personal reflection, heighten connection to our intuition, and enhance our written communication. We will also look at how storytellers around the world are using journals (video, audio, art, written) to document life while looking at famous (and not-so-famous) diaries throughout history.

This class is suitable for all levels.

Steven Fischer is a two-time Emmy-nominated writer/producer of fiction and non-fiction stories. He teaches journal writing and creative writing at Northwestern University.
