Spanish 3 is an intermediate-level course designed for students wishing to build upon the fundamentals acquired in the Carnegie Center’s Spanish Levels 1 and 2, or elsewhere. Students are expected to come in with a solid foundation in the use of the present indicative (yo hablo) and the indefinite preterite (yo hablé). This course places an emphasis on oral expression and grammatical accuracy, while also introducing more advanced sentence structures through real-world reading and writing exercises. By the end of the semester, students will be able to express themselves with greater precision and confidence in all seven of the Spanish simple tenses. No text required.

Tatianna Verswyvel is a native Spanish speaker with a B.A. in International Affairs from Transylvania University. She is a reader, writer, and translator splitting her time between Kentucky and Latin America.
