Fallback Image!

The Wonderful World of Oz

Every fall the halls of the Carnegie Center transform into a celebration of a classic tale. The immersive experience with entertainment, heavy appetizers, an open bar, and plenty of surprises, will transport you into the pages of the book. Costumes are encouraged and party goers always rise to the occasion!

This event has been a sold out evening, so buy your tickets early to make sure that you don’t miss out!

“The Tin Woodman knew very well he had no heart,
and therefore he took great care never to be cruel or unkind to anything.”

Kick-off Celebration

What can you expect at Carnegie Classics this year? We will kick everything off with a special viewing of The Wizard of Oz at the historic Kentucky Theatre on October 26 along with our first ever gingerbread contest!

Let your imagination go wild as you recreate scenes and characters from the books. You can try to encapsulate many ideas like the house/tornado/rainbow/Toto you see here (from the mind of https://www.facebook.com/haniela) or just one! You decide. Prizes will be awarded in three categories: Professional, Amateur, and Child.

A heart is not judged by how much you love; but by how much you are loved by others

Art Exhibit

Local artists and makers are encouraged to apply to become part of the “No Place Like Home” exhibit. We anticipate approximately 400 guests at this year’s event – it’s a great opportunity to showcase their work! Applications are open.

You have plenty of courage, I am sure,” answered Oz. “All you need is confidence in yourself.
There is no living thing that is not afraid when it faces danger. The true courage is in facing danger
when you are afraid, and that kind of courage you have in plenty.
