Celebrate Juneteenth at the Carnegie Center!

The breath of freedom roars! Mark your calendars for June 20th at 7:00 PM. We will be hosting the 3rd annual Burn The Mic Juneteenth Poetry Slam!!! Words become weapons of truth and celebration. Come raise your voice, ignite the stage, and honor the ongoing struggle for freedom, equality, and equity.

This Juneteenth, let your verses soar, your rhythms inspire, and your story resonate. It's a night of fierce competition, powerful expression, and vibrant community love. Don't miss your chance to be part of this event!!! Light food and refreshments will be provided.

The event is FREE and open to the public. 

The Kentucky Black Writers Collaborative's Juneteenth Poetry Slam is sponsored by LexArts, the Kentucky Arts Council, Brown Owl, and the Chethik Family Fund to Advance Black Writers.
