Lisa
A. Brown is a graduate of the University of Kentucky, where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and a Master of Science degree in Educational Policy Studies and Evaluation. She served as the director of student and multicultural affairs in the UK's School of Journalism for sixteen years before launching her own company, Write the Vision with Lisa A. Brown. Brown has read her poetry at the Gallery Hop, the Say It Loud series, and the Spirit Writers’ inaugural project, where she was tasked with writing stories of her enslaved ancestors and sharing those narratives publicly.

She is an avid Christian playwright who tackles issues including, faith, broken relationships, financial instability, and death. One of her plays, Positively Unbreakable, debuted at the historic Lyric Theatre and Cultural Arts Center in downtown Lexington. She has written for several publications including Business Lexington, Lexington Herald-Leader, and Lextropolis. Her manuscript, Living Life Full Throttle!!!, will be published this fall.
