On Thursday, March 24, the tenth class of the Kentucky Writers Hall of Fame will be inducted during a free and public ceremony at the historic Kentucky Theater in downtown Lexington.
Ted Poston and Robert Hazel will join living inductees George Ella Lyon, Loyal Jones, and James C. Klotter in the incomparable Hall of Fame.
Parking for the Kentucky Theater: Parking along downtown streets and in the LFUCG parking lot on Water Street (behind the Theater) is free of charge AFTER 5:00 PM. Parking is available in the Helix Garage (Main Street) is $3 AFTER 5:00 PM.

Seating will be first come, first served. Some sections are reserved for families of those honored as well as previous inductees. There should be plenty of room to spread out or social distance if you prefer.
Book signing: George Ella Lyon and James C. Klotter will be on-site to sell and sign books following the ceremony.
Please note: The Carnegie Center’s building will be closing early on Wednesday, February 5, at 5:00 pm for this special event. There will be no classes or tutoring after 5:00 pm.
The Hall of Fame was created by the Carnegie Center for Literacy and Learning in 2012 to recognize outstanding writers with strong ties to Kentucky. Members are chosen by committees at the Carnegie Center and the Kentucky Arts Council that include some of the state’s most accomplished writers.
