Writing the Meaning of Life – Winter 2022

Viktor Frankl, who survived Auschwitz to write his famous book, Man’s Search for Meaning, offers a way to achieve purpose and meaning. How can you achieve purpose through writing? Further, how can you write about your purpose in a way that creates deep meaning in your life? Barry Lopez said that to be a writer, you have to “be someone.” We will look at how we can write that “someone” you’ve longed to be into reality. For all levels.

Sean Patrick Hill is a poet and nonfiction writer, the author of three books of poems, and a hiking guide to the Red River Gorge. He holds an M.F.A. in poetry from Warren Wilson College and lives in Louisville, Kentucky.
