Writing the College Admission Essay & the Personal Essay – Summer 2021

This workshop-based class will help writers feel confident about choosing a suitable essay topic, writing for an audience, organizing their writing, and editing for clarity and effect. Students can expect to produce two completed essays and to help classmates workshop their ideas and peer-edit their drafts. Open to all people who want to learn about writing a personal essay; special attention will be given to high school juniors who are beginning their college application process.
