Upper Elementary Reading – Spring 2023

GRADES 3–5: In this fun, hands-on class, we’ll work on reading strategies and comprehension techniques. Students will play games that help to boost their reading skills and engage in activities that demonstrate their reading comprehension.

Led by Martha Crumbie, who has her master’s degree in K–12 special education and has over 25 years of teaching experience.

Reading and writing classes for elementary children are supported by the MacAdam Early Childhood and Literacy Fund at Blue Grass Community Foundation.

Cancellation Policy:

The Carnegie Center reserves the right to cancel a class if minimum enrollment is not met. It is best to register early to help our instructors prepare and to ensure the class does not get cancelled. We evaluate registration numbers between 6 and 2 business days before a class starts to decide whether we can hold the class. Classes that do not meet minimum enrollment may be cancelled a minimum of two business days prior to the first class meeting. All participants will be notified by email and will receive full refunds.
