As more and more people are working to break into the freelance writing market, we’ve got the real 4-1-1 on what it takes to have a successful career as a freelance writer. Come learn how to get started; where to find jobs and what kind of jobs are out there; how to pitch magazines/newspapers; how to find sources, interview subjects, and keep and organize your interviews and notes; and finally, how to handle the business end of freelancing once you get paid. For all levels.

Liz Carey has been a freelance writer for the past five years, after a 20-plus year career as a reporter. She’s won more than 30 national, statewide, and regional awards for her writing and reporting.
