Story = Characters + Conflict: How to Conceive, Create, & Complete Your Novel – Winter 2022

Characters and conflict make a story. If your characters are memorable, readers will follow their journey (and your book) to the end. We will work through steps for creating a cast of characters that ring true: the protagonist, antagonist, and all of the supporting cast. Which are larger-than-life? Which fill necessary roles in your story? How do you create memorable characters, both large and small, while avoiding stereotypes? For all levels.

Tracee de Hahn teaches writing at workshops across the country. Her mysteries are published by St. Martin’s Press.
