Poetry of Joy & Wonder – Fall 2023

THIS CLASS HAS 2 SEATS REMAINING!

Poets are known for writing about the dark underbelly of things — death, loss, and grief. In this four-week workshop, we’ll turn that stereotype on its head and concentrate on poetry that points to joy, wonder, and discovery. We’ll look at the strategies of several poets (including Ross Gay, Dorianne Laux, and Naomi Shihab Nye) and work on our own poems of joy.

Linda Bryant is an author and poet who runs Owsley Fork Sanctuary in Berea, Kentucky.

This class is suitable for all levels.
