Poetry Master Class: Finetuning Your Poems- Summer 2022

In this class we will happily get lost in the details of poetry. We will revel in the sounds, zigzag through the commas, tap to the rhythms of the lines, vibrate with the verbs. We will submit poems and workshop them, will study books, dissect examples. As time allows, each session we will focus on a distinct element of craft to reach a higher mastery of our own writing.

Katerina Stoykova is the author of several award-winning poetry books and the Senior Editor of Accents Publishing, where she has selected, edited, and published close to 80 poetry collections.

To be considered for the class, please email a poetry sample (5-7 poems) combined in one Word document to INFO@CarnegieCenterLex.org (subject line NAME/POETRY MASTER CLASS/Summer2022) by Friday, June 24.

This class is suitable for advanced levels.
