Outstanding Writers League (OWL) – Fall 2024

GRADES 4–6: Hone your writing skills in a creative, hands-on environment! Together, we’ll explore how fun writing can be as we play writing games and write stories, poems, and more. We will focus on using “neon” words and images in fiction and poetry. Sponsored by the MacAdam Early Childhood & Literacy Fund at Blue Grass Community Foundation.

Carole Johnston is a poet, former school library media specialist for GRADES K-8, and former creative writing instructor for the SCAPA literary arts program at Lafayette High School.

Cancellation Policy:

The Carnegie Center reserves the right to cancel a class if minimum enrollment is not met. It is best to register early to help our instructors prepare and to ensure the class does not get cancelled. We evaluate registration numbers 62 business days before a class starts to decide whether we can hold the class. Classes that do not meet minimum enrollment will be cancelled six–two business days prior to the first class meeting. All participants will be notified by email and will receive full refunds.
