Nonfiction Writing Group (Online) – Fall 2024
This seven-week series is recommended for writers with works of nonfiction in progress or ideas for true stories they want to tell. We will spend most of our time discussing and offering feedback on class members’ creative nonfiction pieces, while also studying contemporary published nonfiction and gleaning what we can borrow from it.
Neleigh Olson holds an MFA from the University of Kentucky’s Creative Writing program and an MA from Liverpool Hope University in The Beatles, Popular Music and Society. Excerpts from her research-informed memoir about the horse-human relationship (based on her decade-plus experience in the Thoroughbred industry) have won a Kentucky Writer’s Fellowship and have also been published in The Traveler’s Pen and On Horses, an international academic journal about horses in sport. She is also a contributor to The Beatles Bibliography: A New Guide to the Literature, a comprehensive bibliography of Beatles literature.
This class is suitable for writers of all levels.
