Lower Elementary Reading – Summer 2020

Reading aloud to children has been shown to improve their reading skills–but did you also know that it helps their writing, communication skills, logical thinking and concentration? Most importantly, it can help inspire a lifelong love of reading. In this session, we’ll make a book will come alive, involving students in the discussion of plot, character, and theme. Join us for an interactive reading session that kids, even struggling readers, are sure to love. Led by Martha Crumbie, who has her master’s degree in K–12 special education and has over 24 years of teaching experience. Funded by Blue Grass Community Foundation. Grades 1-2.
