Introduction to Food Writing – Summer 2020

Whether you’re already earning money from your food writing or the most you’ve ever written is a Yelp review about your dinner, this multi-week class is designed to help students take their skills to the next level. Using weekly lessons, a comprehensive reading list and personal feedback from instructor Ashlie Stevens, participants will learn about the elements of creating and selling great food writing. Ashlie Stephens is a Louisville-based food and spirits writer whose work has appeared in and on NPR, the Eater, The Atlantic, National Geographic, Slate and Vice ; right now, she’s on the food and culture desk at Salon. For all levels.
