Introduction to Food Writing – Winter 2021

Whether you’re already earning money from your food writing or the most you’ve ever written is a Yelp review about your dinner, this multi-week class is designed to help students take their skills to the next level. Using weekly lessons, a comprehensive reading list, and personal feedback, participants will learn about the elements of creating and selling great food writing. Ashlie Stevens is a Louisville-based food and spirits writer whose work has appeared in and on NPR, Eater, The Atlantic, National Geographic, Slate, and Vice; right now, she’s on the food and culture desk at Salon. For all levels.
