How to Finish What You Start – Winter 2022

How many unfinished novels do you have sitting on your computer? Too many! Based on Walter Mosley’s This Year You Write Your Novel, this course is designed to help you finish that draft, providing successful strategies and hacks for dealing with writer’s block. We’ll use the book as a guide for working through the frustrating entanglements writers encounter on their personal journeys to a finished product. We’ll have time to write, time to share, and one-on-one consultations with the instructor to make sure you are making progress on your book. For all levels.

Required text: This Year You Write Your Novel by Walter Mosley. Please purchase on your own.

Anna-Stacia Haley earned her M.A. in English from the University of Louisville. She’s been a writing consultant for the U.L. Writing Center, has taught First Year Composition, and wrote the draft of her own first novel in three months.
