Historical Fiction – Fall 2023

Historical fiction is the backbone of a multitude of genres and getting it right can make your book ‘set back in time’ truly sing. If you are considering a mystery set in the 1960s, romance in the 1750s, literary fiction in the era of Jane Austen, or any other book that relies on an era not our own, then this class will help you start or finish your project. The class will cover story and story types, choosing point of view, dialogue, setting, how much research and what kind. All viewed through the lens of time.

Tracee de Hahn is the author of mysteries published by St. Martin’s Press as well as non-fiction historical books for young adults.

This class is suitable for all levels.
