Through weekly reading and discussion of contemporary short stories, this class will cover the elements of fiction found in the short story form. Writers will learn from examples and get started writing their own stories through in-class exercises. PDFs of stories will be provided—just bring something to write with!
This class is suitable for beginner and intermediate writers.
Amanda Corbin is a local writer and mother with a background in journalism who holds creative writing degrees from Morehead State and the University of Kentucky.
