GRADES 9-12: Have you always wanted to write for the stage? In this Zoom workshop for teen writers of all experience levels, we’ll cover the fundamentals of playwriting. Through writing exercises, in-class readings, and a welcoming workshop environment, students will leave this course with a draft of their own ten-minute play and a better understanding of what it means to write for live performance.

Katie Kirk is a playwright and screenwriter with an MFA from Carnegie Mellon University whose work has been published by Samuel French and recognized by Theater Masters and the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, among others.
