‘’attend, attend” — Mary Oliver
This course explores the curious relationship between perception and language. Taking some lessons from our visual artist friends, we will develop practical techniques for literally “seeing the world differently,” as catalyst both for stimulating our creativity in general, and also for revealing new ways in which language might be crafted to describe, define, and (co-)create the world of our senses (i.e., that “real” world). Writers of any (or no) level of experience, working in any genre, are warmly welcomed.
This class is suitable for all levels.
Tony Crunk has pubished widely in poetry, children’s books, and short fiction, and has taught at a number of universities and community education programs across the country.
