We are always excited to learn that someone wants to teach at Camp Carnegie! Since we run an annual summer camp, we’re constantly looking for new instructors and new classes.

Right now, we’re looking for new instructors to run week-long courses this summer, starting in July. Camps can run from 8:30AM-12:30PM or 1:00PM-5:00PM.

Our instructors have a wide range of backgrounds and experience levels, and our team provides a distinct level of support for instructors who are relatively new to teaching—so we encourage you to inquire about teaching even if you are still new to it.

What kinds of courses are you looking for?

Camp Carnegie classes include many genres, forms, topics, and modes of learning (e.g., workshops, seminars, reading/writing groups, and more), and we’re always looking to extend our offerings in new ways. Past camp topics include: Radio/Podcasting, Zines, Legal Eagles, Engineering, Cooking, Comic Books 101, Fashion Design, and Movie Making.

How much do classes pay?

We want to make as clear as possible our payment structure, because we know that’s an important part of deciding where to teach. We pay all camp instructors $550 per course and cover supply costs.

I’m interested! What now

Please submit the camp proposal form, which you can access here:

Once you submit that form, Jamari Turner, Youth Programming and Outreach Director, will follow up with you.
