Thank you for your interest in the Carnegie Center Author Academy.

Applications are currently being accepted for the 2020-2021 Carnegie Center Author Academy program.

The Author Academy is a student-driven certificate program that provides writers with the support to grow rapidly in their craft and to prepare their work for possible publication. The cost of the 9-month program is $5500.

Acceptance to the program depends on the ability of the Carnegie Center to match an applicant with an appropriate mentor. Applications are reviewed in the order they are received. All applications remain in the pool until the class has been filled. If accepted, applicants may reserve their spot in the 2020-2021 Author Academy with a $250 nonrefundable tuition deposit. The remainder of the fall tuition ($2500) is due on 8/15/20. The second semester tuition of $2750 is due on 1/15/21.

To apply for the program, please complete the application and supplemental materials. Instructions for submitting are included in the application packet.
