With Dan Adkins.

This lunchtime session focuses on the realities of today’s news media and the perceptions of news consumers. The emergence of cable TV news, the internet, and social media has disrupted the traditional news business, impacting how people receive their news and how they seek it, based on their personal philosophies and biases. The session will discuss what the media was, has become and possible future directions, as well as what it means to be a responsible, savvy news consumer in today’s environment. Dan Adkins has worked for five newspapers in four states, winning awards in three states.
