An Unforgettable Evening
World travelers (18+) are invited to join us on November 9, 7:00-11:00 PM for a luxurious trip through Europe that goes off the rails when a fellow passenger is mysteriously murdered. Will you catch the killer before they strike again, or find yourself at the end of the line?
Attendees can expect an open bar, dinner, a live jazz band, and an evening of creative surprises. Costumes are encouraged.

KELLE JOLLY BAND
As an ambassador of jazz, she has traveled to Muroran, Japan as Knoxville’s Sister City representative at various jazz festivals and events. Kelle Jolly is the host of Jazz Jam with Kelle Jolly, an hour-long show that celebrates great local, national and international singers of jazz on WUOT 91.9FM. She is also the founder of the Women in Jazz Jam Festival. Kelle is a teaching artist on the Tennessee Arts Commission Roster. Kelle is a member of the Jonesborough Storytelling Guild. She is a National Association of Black Storytellers 2023 Black Appalachian Storyteller Fellow.
STUDIO PLAYERS
Enjoy a 2-3 minute theatrical performances by the Studio Players as they bring scenes from the Agatha Christie’s classic novel to life! Studio Players is a non-profit organization whose mission is: to provide the community with quality live theatre, to provide audiences with a season of productions from classic to contemporary, and to provide those willing to volunteer their time and talents with the opportunity for involvement in all phases of theatrical production. Actors and roles to be announced.
DJ BRIAN GORRELL
DJ Brian Gorrell will treat early bird attendees to records from 1930s played on his very own Victrola from 7:00-8:00 PM. Gorrel, a band director, musician, and retired music educator, has amassed an impressive collection of over two hundred antique phonographs, making it possibly the most extensive in Kentucky. In addition to collecting, he repairs and sells antique machines at the Athens Schoolhouse Antique Market and the Antique Store of Lexington. Well-connected with the International Antique Phonograph Society, Gorrell hosts monthly “listening parties” for the Kentucky Antique Phonograph Society. Learn more.
CURTIS KAISER
We’ve invited Curtis Kaiser, “The Poet on Main Street,” to write poems on the spot for attendees. First seen popping up in downtown Lexington in 2023, you may have been lucky enough to bump into Curtis during one of his “Poems 4 Free” sessions with his typewriter. A mechanical engineer by way of Texas, Kaiser—who moved to Lexington in 2020—has taken it upon himself to help generate some smiles to passersby downtown by writing + giving out free poems.
