His, Mine, and Ours: Tuska Generations

featuring works by John Tuska, Seth Tuska, and Tuska Studio

John Tuska (1931–1998) was a teacher’s teacher: a master of his crafts who continually explored that burning question–”what if?”–and inspired his students to explore. Trained as a ceramist and potter, his passion for the human form dominated his career.

Seth Tuska is often asked, “Are you an artist too?” His father’s rule: school is the most important thing in your life, and you will find a career that pays the bills. With no formal art training other than being around his father’s studio processes and techniques, Seth Tuska’s art reflects the busyness of an engineer as folk art.

This exhibit will focus on selected wall hanging works by John Tuska and Seth Tuska, as well as works from Tuska Studio.

We hope to see you soon at the Carnegie Center, home to the Kentucky Writers Hall of Fame and writers and readers of all levels.
