Sonja Mehnert

Sonja Mehnert is a native and resident of Lexington, KY. In May 2015, Sonja graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a Master’s of Arts in Teaching, Middle Grade Education. Sonja is certified to teach middle grades (5-9) social studies and science, and has taught and worked with diverse groups of students from K-12 in all core subjects, as well as several Special Education areas. Since 2015, Sonja has been employed by Fayette County Public Schools as a substitute teacher. Sonja have taught and worked with a diverse group of students from K-12 in all core subjects, as well as several Special Education areas. Sonja truly enjoys working with children and helping them to learn and grow!

In this fun and hands-on class, we’ll work on reading strategies and comprehension techniques. Students will play games that help to boost their reading skills and engage in activities that demonstrate their reading comprehension. Funded by the Blue Grass Community Foundation.
