Since 2011, the Teen Howl Poetry Series has been an incredible opportunity for teen writers to build community and meet others from all over Central Kentucky. Bring your written words to the stage. Poetry, prose, hip-hop, and rap; we want to hear it all. Sign up for the open mic between 5:30 and 6 pm. Join this lively group of talented kids, and be inspired, supported, and heard. We can’t wait to meet you! Coffees, sodas, and snacks will be available for purchase in partnership with Wild Fig Books & Coffee.

Cohosted by Elizabeth Beck, writer, artist and teacher; Maddy Hamilton, who has shared her love of language with teens across the country through workshops, activism, and non-profit involvement; and Jay McCoy, who co-owns Brier Books and has served the local writing community for years through mentoring, teaching classes, and co-hosting open mic series.
