Carole Johnston

Carole Johnston taught creative writing in the SCAPA program at Lafayette High School for 18 years. Before that she was a school library media specialist for grades K-8. Carole has published numerous poems in print and online journals. She has completed her first novel and has published short stories in online journals. Her poetry collection, Journeys: Getting Lost, is available from Finishing Line Press and from Amazon. Carole is available as a private writing tutor.

What if your toys could talk to you? What if your dog or cat could talk to you? What would they say? What stories would they tell? In this class, kids can bring their toys and photos of their pets. We will use them for inspiration as we write poems and act out scripts. We will read children’s books as prompts for stories and poetry.
