ENGLISH/INGLES
One-on-One English Tutoring for Adults
This one-on-one tutoring program helps non-native English speakers practice
their skills with a community volunteer. English Language Learners (ELLs) will
work at an individualized pace while gaining experience using common words
and terms. Each tutoring pair will meet for one hour per week; ELLs will choose
a time and day, and tutors will be matched up according to availability. Space
is limited, so register as soon as possible. Call 859-254-4175. Cost: $5 for the
summer.
“Classes offered by the Carnegie Center have been the making of me as a poet. Beginning with a workshop with Tony Crunk, proceeding through a Master Class with James Baker Hall, out of which grew the Mosaic women’s poetry group, and culminating in a long series of advanced workshops with Leatha Kendrick, I have received the most valuable training of my career. All very reasonably priced.” --- Sherry Chandler
