Come join the celebration of Elizabeth Beck’s inaugural work, a full-length manuscript awarded the 2012 Artist Enrichment Grant by the Kentucky Foundation of Women, which was selected for publication by Evening Street Press May 2013. Owrns-Lalude author of The Long Walk: Slavery to Freedom and the Write for Children and Teens PROMPTER will conduct an in depth workshop for those (ages 18 +) who write for children and teens. At the end of our time together you will be well on your way to a daily writing practice and a relationship with yourself that will deepen your self-understanding. This year’s keynote speaker will be North Carolina Poet Laureate Joseph Bathanti. Bluegrass musicians Dale Ann Bradley and Steve Gulley will perform the keynote concert.
