The Carnegie Center will be hosting the daytime sessions of the 2011 Kentucky Women Writers Conference, the longest-running literary festival of women in the nation. There will also be several free evening events, open to all, at various Lexington venues.

The conference daytime sessions, open to those who have registered for the conference, will take place at the Carnegie Center on Friday, September 16 and Saturday, September 18.

An evening with Francine Prose & Danzy Senna September 17, 2011, 8 p.m., Memorial Hall, Univ. of KY
The Carnegie Center and Boomslang Music Festival present the annual “Stars with Accents” with Jan Isenhour, Honoree Fannone Jeffers, & more. Katerina Stoykova-Klemer, host of WRFL’s Accents – a radio show for literature, art and culture – will MC the event and lead a Q&A following the readers.
