This summer marks the 25th anniversary of “Where I’m From,” a small poem that has gone around the world as a writing prompt. You may have encountered it before, but since we are always growing, we bring different parts of ourselves to the page each time.

Come write with George Ella Lyon, Kentucky poet laureate for 2015-2016, and learn how your words can be part of the I Am From Project’s Poem-In ahead of the midterm elections.
