Celebrate the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. with a free community event at the Carnegie Center for Literacy & Learning. After the downtown MLK march, join us for lunch and an inspirational speech by local musician and community activist DeBraun Thomas, followed by a series of themed workshops poetry, music, and activism for elementary- and middle-schoolers. Guest workshop leaders include DeBraun ThomasAngel C. Dye, and Donald Mason.

Families will also have an opportunity to engage in a service-learning project led by On The Move Art Studio benefiting the families of the Kentucky Refugee Ministries!

First 20 families will receive a free copy of Little Leaders: Bold Women in Black History by Vashti Harrison.
