The 2018 Kentucky Playwrights and Screenwriters Conference is hosted by the Kentucky Playwrights Workshop and takes place at the Carnegie Center, September 6-8, 2018.

An opportunity for playwrights and screenwriters to gain new skills and knowledge  to help advance their careers or interests through networking and more than 20 different presentations, lectures and panel discussions on writing for both stage and screen.

Charles Edward Pogue will present the Kentucky Playwrights Lecture on Saturday, September 8. He is the author of the play Who Done It Darlin’ and a successful screenwriter who “retired” to Kentucky to pursue his first love, the theatre. Jesse Harris of Harlan County will give the keynote on Friday, September 7. A graduate of Georgetown College he wrote and produced the award-winning independent feature Surviving Guthrie.  He currently writes for the Netflix show Jessica Jones.

Cost: $95 for adults; $75 students (daily rates and à la carte pricing also available; download conference price list below)
