Join three-time Hugo Award-nominated editor Jason Sizemore (Apex Books, Apex Magazine) for a seminar that will explore the many different shortcuts writers can use to build narrative, create setting, and define characters. Participants will take a deep dive into award-winning author Ken Liu’s “Build-A-Dolly” flash fiction (Apex Magazine) as we discuss the author’s tactics to build 10,000 words of story using only 1000. Novelists and short fiction authors alike will find value in this intensive exploration of the craft and mechanics of writing. [ALL LEVELS] [NEW!]
